Farhan Sadeque, a student of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), won Bronze Medal in GreenTech segment of Project Showcase at the Fibonacci International Robot and STEM Olympiad (FIRSO) 2026 Bangladesh National Round on September 4, 2026.

The event was held at the United International University, Dhaka. Farhan, who is an executive member of the IUB Programming Club (IUBPC), was also selected for the international round in Italy, scheduled for November 30 to December 4, 2026.

Farhan received the award for GreenVision, an AI-powered platform that uses existing CCTV cameras for environmental and urban monitoring. The platform is designed to detect issues including illegal waste dumping, traffic congestion, and localized flooding through computer vision.

GreenVision uses existing CCTV infrastructure to reduce the need for additional hardware for environmental monitoring. The project was presented under the GreenTech segment of the FIRSO Project Showcase.
