IMEC signs MoU with StartUp Grind Dhaka to facilitate knowledge exchange, engagement and experiential learning

The Independent Management and Entrepreneurship Club (IMEC), an active student club of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with StartUp Grind Dhaka on August 20, 2026.

The agreement aims to create opportunities for entrepreneurship-focused knowledge exchange, industry engagement, and experiential learning through joint activities and engagement with entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

The MoU was signed by Farihan Faisal Rahman, Chapter Director, StartUp Grind Dhaka, and Ms. Afnan Yusuf, Lecturer, Department of Management, IUB, and Club Coordinator, IMEC. Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Head of the Department of Management of IUB, endorsed the agreement.

The agreement was also endorsed by Samuel Mursalin, Co-Director, StartUp Grind Dhaka; Wasif Hasan, Community Manager, StartUp Grind Dhaka; and Shamiha Shafayet, President, IMEC. Faculty members of the Department of Management and members of IMEC attended the signing.

The partnership will facilitate student participation in activities involving entrepreneurs and industry professionals, including knowledge exchange, industry exposure, and engagement with the entrepreneurial community. The collaboration will also provide a platform for IMEC and StartUp Grind Dhaka to conduct joint entrepreneurship initiatives.

The partnership will be supported by Startup Grind Global and Startup Grind Dhaka through activities connecting IUB students with entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and the entrepreneurial community.
