The Department of Accounting of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) arranged a mock interview session for 24 Accounting students enrolled in the BBA499A (Internship) course on August 17, 2026, at BC 2006 to prepare them for real-life job interviews through individual interviews, industry feedback, and academic assessment.

Naima Sultana, FCA, Principal, Naima Sultana & Co., Chartered Accountants, conducted individual mock interviews and assessed students on professional communication and articulation skills. Based on their responses to job interview-based questions, Sultana provided feedback focused on improving clarity and confidence in responses.

Prof. Dr. Raisul Awal Mahmood, Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE), and Dr. Maqbool Kader Quraishi, Head of the Department of Accounting, attended the session. Faculty members of the Department of Accounting also participated in the assessment by asking course-related questions based on core accounting subjects and providing individual feedback on students’ academic knowledge and preparedness.

The participating students, who were in their final semesters, submitted their CVs as part of the exercise and took part in individual interviews. The participants were selected by bringing together the Accounting Department’s interns enrolled in BBA499A.

The Department of Accounting previously conducted a similar mock interview session in Autumn 2025. The sessions provide students with interview practice and feedback before entering the job market.
