IUB Programming Club organizes Programming Week Summer 2026

The IUB Programming Club (IUBPC) and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized “Programming Week Summer 2026” from July 25 to August 2, 2026. The event provided students with opportunities to apply programming, problem-solving, and project development skills through an intra-university programming contest, hackathon, and tech project showcase.
The week featured the Intra-IUB Programming Contest, Intra-IUB Hackathon, and Tech Project Showcase, with a total prize pool of BDT 72,000. Participants competed in programming challenges, developed solutions to existing problems, and presented hardware and software projects to judges from industry and academia.
In the senior category of the programming contest, Ahnaf Abdullah (13th Semester) placed first, Tanvir Ahmed (11th Semester) placed second, and Rabiul Islam Raihan (12th Semester) placed third. In the junior category, Md Al Fardin Khan (4th Semester) placed first, Md. Rashedul Islam Sabbir (3rd Semester) placed second, and Sah Paran (8th semester) placed third.
In the Tech Project Showcase, Md Habibur Rahman Habib of PIKU Robotics placed first, Syed Faizan placed second, and Error, comprising Ramisa Islam Shreya, Suad Janeeta Rahman, and Samia Jannat Mommy, placed third.
In the Hackathon, Syed Faizan of RoboCap placed first. IUB_TechFreak, comprising Rasheduzzaman Rochi, Mandira Paul, and Fahim Shahriar Alif, placed second, while Team Doomsday, comprising Syed Mehedi Hussain, Md. Mahmudul Hasan, and Ridwan Hasan Khandakar, placed third.
