The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized the “EEE Alumni Day 2026” on April 16, 2026, bringing together alumni, faculty members, students, and guests. More than 150 alumni from different graduating batches attended the program. 

Prof. Dr. Daniel W. Lund, Pro Vice Chancellor of IUB, attended the program as Chief Guest. He discussed the contributions of EEE alumni in academia, industry, research, and entrepreneurship in Bangladesh and abroad, and the role of alumni engagement in university development.  

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Habib Chowdhury, Head of EEE, welcomed the participants and presented the department’s academic and research activities. Several faculty members from the department also spoke at the program. 

At the program, the EEE department recognized five faculty members – Prof. Dr. Khosru M. Salim, Prof. Dr. Shahriar Khan, Prof. Dr. Feroz Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak, and Dr. Afroza Sultana – for serving more than 20 years in the department and for their contributions to teaching, research, academic activities, and student development.   

The alumni were presented with the EEE Alumni Sashes. The event concluded with cultural performances and dinner.
