Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) joined the Silver Jubilee Gala of European Standard School (ESS) on September 28, 2025, at Senaprangon Hall Auditorium in Dhaka Cantonment, marking 25 years of the institution.

Prof. Dr. Daniel W. Lund, Pro-Vice Chancellor of IUB, addressed the program alongside Md Morshedul Islam, Founder, Principal, and Managing Director of ESS; Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Chairman of Grameen Bank and Vice Chancellor of North South University; His Excellency Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bangladesh; and Mr. Maxim Raimann, Country Exams Director at the British Council.

The IUB delegation also included Ms. Lima Choudhury, Director of the Office of Admission, Financial Aid, and International Relations; Mr. Fuad Hosen, Outreach Officer; and Mr. Avijit Roy, Office Manager at the Pro Vice Chancellor’s Office.

The cultural segment, titled “Moments, memories, and melodies,” featured student performances in group dance, drama, and music. Highlights included Silver Jubilee – Group Dance, drama Save World, Save Earth, and dances Colourful World, Bella Donna, and Six Seasons. Musical performances featured We Are the World, Shape of You, and the traditional piece Tola’al Badru Al’aina.

The program concluded with acknowledgements to IUB and other participating institutions for their support in marking the anniversary. IUB sponsored the program as part of the outreach activities of the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid and International Relations.
