IUB hosts Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2025

The Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Network (BIIN) organized the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2025 on October 18, 2025, at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). The event, titled “Recognition for Innovation, Inspiration for Transformation,” recognized innovators and institutions contributing to the country’s ICT sector.
Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, attended as the Chief Guest and handed over the crests, certificates, and prize tokens to the champions. Major General Md. Emdad ul Bari, OSP, NDC, PSC (Retd), Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC); Shish Haider Chowdhury, NDC, MCIIPS, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division; and Syed Almas Kabir, Chairman of BIIN, attended as special guests.
This year’s competition received 255 submissions from across Bangladesh. As many as 90 ideas were shortlisted in the initial round, and 32 were nominated after final evaluation rounds held on October 9 at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) and on October 11 at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). From these, nine initiatives were awarded as champions, with others recognised under the Winner and Merit categories.
In the student category, the champion projects were RadSafe by the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Britto.xyz by Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Care Wheelchair by Adamjee Cantonment College, and Safe Step by Rajuk Uttara Model College.
In the individual and venture category, the champion was Sebaer Janala – ImpactFuse Coalition. In the institutional category, the champions were MTBM Board for tunnelling innovation by Fast and Advanced of Bangladesh, E-return System by Sinesis IT PLC, Complyify by RiseUp Labs, and RoboLife Bionic Arm by RoboLife Technologies.
Winner category recipients included Mongoltori by BRAC University, DrainSense by Dhaka Government Polytechnic Institute, Hybrid Fraud Shield by American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), Ajgar by Daffodil International University (DIU), and Sohopathi AI by GNRF University of Management Sciences in the student category.
Institutional winners included DLRMS Software by SoftBD Limited, MobiManager by Inovex Idea Solution Limited, and Fair Price by IXora Solution Limited. In the individual and team category, Project Pani and QRARG Eye Motion Tracker received awards.
In the Merit category, Dokan by the University of Information Technology and Sciences, SolarShield by GNRF University of Management Sciences, GluSnik by the University of Dhaka, BlinkTok by GNRF University of Management Sciences, Bartaprahori by AIUB, and StyleOn by Daffodil International University were recognised in the student category. Institutional merit awards went to GenOS Automotive Operating System by Jadupc, National Job Portal by Sinesis IT PLC, and PepProtect by Inovex Idea Solution Limited. In the individual and team category, Ammau, Anchor Io, and E-Vo received merit recognition.
The title sponsor for the programme was NCC Bank PLC. Gold sponsors were Mutual Trust Bank PLC and American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), and the silver sponsor was City Bank PLC. Knowledge partners included AIUB, IUB, and ULAB. Red Data (Pvt.) Ltd. provided technical support.
