Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Head of the Department of General Management at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has been appointed as an Evaluator for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). He earned the status following the completion of evaluator training sessions held during the ACBSP Pre-Conference 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada, from June 18 to 22, 2025. The appointment aligns with ACBSP’s peer review process and supports its accreditation mission.

Prof. Habib participated in two professional development workshops: “Evaluator Training” on June 18, which addressed accreditation criteria and peer evaluation protocols; and “Quality Assurance Training” on June 19, which focused on institutional effectiveness and data-driven continuous improvement strategies. 

Both workshops were facilitated by Dr. Lucie Depoo, Director of Accreditation, and Diana Hallerud, Special Accreditation Advisor. About 600 participants, including Deans, Directors, Chairs, Champions, Co-Champions, from various business schools across the world attended the ACBSP 2025 Conference.

Dr. Habib’s designation as an ACBSP Evaluator contributes to IUB’s institutional capacity in international accreditation. IUB’s School of Business and Entrepreneurship has held full ACBSP accreditation since 2017, valid for a 10-year term.
