The IUB Library organized a special event on February 5, 2025, in observance of the National Library Day. The event was centered around the theme "Enrich the Library, Our Commitment". As part of the celebrations, a pop quiz competition was conducted on February 3, 2025.

The event commenced with a welcome speech by Ms. Khurshid Jahan, Interim Librarian of IUB. Prof. M. Tamim, Vice Chancellor of IUB; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuiyan, Dean of the School of Law; and Dr. Hossam Haider Chowdhury, former Librarian of IUB, delivered insightful speeches about the importance of libraries and ways to develop them. 

From among the judges, Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Head of the Department of General Management; and Dr. Farhad Alam, Head of the Department of Physical Sciences, also spoke at the event.  

In his speech, Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Tamim said, "No matter how many resources we provide to enrich the library, our foremost priority should be to cultivate students’ interest in reading."

Tahreema Taslim Shithi from the Department of Life Sciences secured the first place in the pop quiz; Sadman Hafiz from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering came out second; and Maher Md. Mostafa from the Department of Human Resource Management stood third. The Best Library User Award was presented to Md. Wahiduzzaman from the Department of Finance.
