Basketball Club organizes ‘Freedom Dribble 3X3 Basketball Championship 2025’

The IUB Basketball Club organized the “Freedom Dribble 3X3 Basketball Championship 2025” from August 8 to 10, 2025, at the IUB Sports Complex. The event, sponsored by CF Moto and Igloo, featured a total of 44 teams, including players from across Bangladesh as well as several foreign participants, with competitions held in U-18 and All Age categories for both men and women.
Teams from Sunbeams, Aga Khan Academy, Scholastica, Sir John Wilson, Viqarunnisa School and College, Mastermind, St. Gregory, St. Josephites, CGSD, BRAC University, North South University, IUB, Asia Pacific University, AIUB, Dhaka University, and Jahangirnagar University took part. Invited teams included Panchagarh Basketball Club and Himalayan Konnas. The women’s segment also featured prominent basketball clubs such as Deshi Ballers, Changas Basketball Academy, and Dhumketu Basketball Club, alongside participation from players representing nearly all basketball clubs in Bangladesh.
In the U-18 Boys category, Aeros won the championship, with Josephite Stallions emerging as the Runners-up. In the U-18 Girls category, Changas won the title and Deshi Scooters placed second. In the All Age Men category, Changas emerged Champions, while IUB Blue finished as Runners-up. The IUB team comprised Taifur Uddin (CSE), Mukcith Khan Ishfak (Finance), and Ahasan Ameer Khan (CSE). In the All Age Women category, Changas won the title, with Dhumketu Purple placing second.
Winning teams received BDT 8,000 in prize money along with trophies and medals, while runners-up teams were awarded medals. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards were presented to Siam Islam Shitol (U-18 Boys), Tatianna Juarez Tashie (U-18 Girls), Arash Doha (All Age Men), and Maia Thomas (All Age Women).
