The Intra-IUB Table Tennis Tournament Autumn 2024 was held on November 21, 2024 at the Table Tennis Arena of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). Organized by the Division of Student Activities (DoSA) and the Table Tennis Club, the one-day tournament saw participation from 67 students competing across four categories: Men’s Singles (Seeded), Women’s Singles (Seeded), Unseeded Men’s Singles, and Unseeded Women’s Singles.

The Unseeded Men’s Singles and Unseeded Women’s Singles events followed a knockout format. Md. Abdur Nur Tushar (Department of Finance) won the Unseeded Men’s Singles title, defeating Zishan Ansari (Department of Marketing) 3-0. In the Unseeded Women’s Singles final, Jebun Nahar Simi (Department of Environmental Science) defeated Zannatun Saba Smrity (Department of Environmental Science) 3-0.

The league-based Men’s Singles (Seeded) title was claimed by Md. Rifat Mahmud Sabbir (Department of Media and Communication), who finished with four points from two wins, while Mohammad Zubair Khan Pritom (Department of International Business) was the runner-up with three points. In the Women’s Singles (Seeded), Sharmin Islam Shroddha (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) secured the first place with six points from three wins, followed by runner-up Sadia Tabassum Shawon (Department of Microbiology) with five points.

The tournament began with an opening match between Brig. Gen. Ridwan-Al-Mahmood (Retd), Director of Administration, and Mr. Atif M. Safi, Head of DoSA. Khandker Md. Iftekhar Haider, Vice Chancellor (Acting), and Mr. Ashraful Amin, Director of Council Affairs, also attended the tournament and interacted with the participants.
