The IUB Cricket Club secured the 2nd Runner-Up position in the 14th ULAB Fair Play Cup Cricket Tournament, concluded on March 5, 2024, at the ULAB main campus cricket ground in Dhaka.

Over the month-long tournament, IUB Cricket Club demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork. The team emerged victorious against formidable opponents including Dhaka International University, Uttara University, and Southeast University during the group stages.

Despite a close semifinal, where they were narrowly defeated by Daffodil International University by just four runs, IUB displayed remarkable resilience to clinch victory in the 2nd Runner-Up match against Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT).

Sourav Das, a key player for IUB, distinguished himself as the highest run-scorer and was also celebrated as the best fielder of the tournament. Aman Ullah's significant fifty against South East University was a highlight, contributing to the team’s strong batting performance.

The bowling squad, led by Angon Pandey and Nasif Hasan Palak, delivered critical performances. Pandey's hat-trick and Palak's all-around excellence were pivotal in securing the team's victories.

Under the leadership of Coach Maruf Reza Sunny, the IUB Cricket Club not only excelled in performance but also in fostering team spirit and sportsmanship.
