Prof. Md Mamun Habib, PhD, Head of the General Management Department at the School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), conducted a four-day online short course on "HRM in the 21st Century" at Beijing Wuzi University’s Business School, China from July 2-5, 2024. As a visiting professor, Dr. Habib provided valuable insights into the rapidly evolving dynamics of Human Resource Management (HRM) in the modern world.

Throughout the course, Prof. Habib explored key topics such as the three decision levels of supply chain management, principles of total quality management (TQM), the role of TQM leaders, key research areas in Modern HRM and the impact of technological advancements on HRM practices. Engaging with students and future HR leaders in these interactive discussions, he underscored the significance of adaptability and innovation in HR practices to address both current and future challenges.

Reflecting on the experience, Prof. Habib remarked, “It was truly rewarding to engage with Beijing Wuzi University’s enthusiastic students and share contemporary HRM strategies. The exchange was an invaluable opportunity to explore and discuss the challenges and opportunities in modern HR practices.”
