Vice Chancellor of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), Tanweer Hasan, PhD, has received the NRB Day 2023 Award for his exceptional contributions to education. The award was presented to him by Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, Honorable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, during the National Expatriates Day celebrations at Hotel InterContinental, Dhaka, on December 30, 2023.

The ceremony, organized by Scholars Bangladesh Society and the Center for NRB Foundation, recognized Professor Hasan's impactful role in elevating the educational standards at IUB. This national event, celebrated for the first time, honors distinguished individuals who have significantly contributed to various sectors in Bangladesh.
