Bangladesh-Korea ties can be improved further, says Korean Ambassador at IUB

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, His Excellency Park Young-sik said, “For the past 5 decades, the relation between Bangladesh and South Korea has witnessed a remarkable journey of cooperation in various sectors including trade, investment, development, and people-to-people exchanges. It is time for both the countries to further develop the bilateral relations in a mutually beneficial way.”

He made these remarks at a special lecture organized by the Department of Media and Communication, in collaboration with King Sejong Institute, Dhaka2. The engaging event unfolded at the IUB Multipurpose Hall on March 4, 2024.

In his lecture titled "Contemporary Korea: Democracy, Economy, Peace, and Security," Ambassador Park Young-sik shared profound perspectives on South Korea's recent socio-political landscape, captivating the audience with his wealth of experience and knowledge.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Didar A Husain, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB, who attended as the Special Guest, adding significance to this enlightening event. Tanweer Hasan, PhD, Vice Chancellor, IUB, delivered the welcome remarks, setting the stage for an intellectually stimulating evening.

Prof. Niaz Ahmed Khan, PhD, Pro Vice Chancellor, IUB, conveyed a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Ambassador Park Young-sik and all attendees for their participation and engagement. The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session moderated by Prof. Zakir Hossain Raju, PhD, Head, Dept. of Media and Communication and Director, King Sejong Institute.
