GSG Department welcomes new faculty members

The Global Studies and Governance (GSG) Department of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) is thrilled to announce the addition of two distinguished faculty members to its team. Dr. Sultana Razia joins as a Senior Lecturer, and Ms. Firoza Ashravee as a Lecturer.

Dr. Razia, who holds a PhD in Urban Social Sustainability from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, brings extensive experience in social sciences with a focus on urban sustainability, development studies, and social work. Her expertise enhances the department's capacity to explore the complexities of urbanization and the broader aspects of national and global sustainability.

Ms. Ashravee, an expert in International Relations specializing in Security Studies, has collaborated with prominent law enforcement agencies such as CTTC, NSI, DMP, and ATU, as well as NGOs like BRAC, and think tanks including BIPSS and CFISS. Her research addresses critical issues in security studies, terrorism, global migration, and education.

The GSG Department looks forward to the contributions of Dr. Razia and Ms. Ashravee in fostering a deeper understanding of global issues among students and in the broader academic community.
