Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), delivered an invited talk online on "Rubrics Development for Capstone Project and Open-ended Lab for Addressing Complex Engineering Problems and Complex Engineering Activities." He was one of the Expert Panel Members at the 8th International Faculty Development Program (IFDP), held from July 1-10, 2024, organized by Chandigarh University (CU), Punjab, India.

More than 110 experts and professors from 87 universities across 32 countries participated in the 10-day international faculty development program, which began on Monday, July 1, 2024, with the inaugural ceremony attended by experts and hundreds of faculty members. The 8th edition of IFDP was conducted in both offline and online modes, focusing on sensitizing faculty about new concepts and methodologies in teaching and research, updating knowledge using modern information, and equipping them with necessary skills.

During the event, several lectures, screenings, and meetings were organized with the involvement of faculties from over 25 departments of the university. Sessions related to curriculum development, research, challenges faced by the university, and possible solutions to improve the quality of education were also held.
