Dr. Prawej Ansari appointed Guest Editor for Metabolites

Dr. Prawej Ansari, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, IUB, has been appointed a Guest Editor for the Special Issue "Frontiers of Natural Antidiabetic Drug Discovery" of the renowned journal Metabolites (Impact Factor: 5.58), Basel, Switzerland. The special issue welcomes submissions on research across various antidiabetic medicinal plants, phytoconstituents as well as peptides and their role in the treatment of various diseases including but not limited to diabetes, fatty liver, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. The primary target of this issue is to characterise traditional medicinal plants, peptides together with identifying the possible phytocompounds that may be useful for diabetes therapy and other metabolic disorders.

Through this, IUB faculty members and students will be able to publish their research in journals like Metabolites with high impact factor (5.581) and good indexing including Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science and Hinari. A special discount/waiver will be offered in publication fees if accepted after the standard peer review procedure.

Dr. Ansari has published more than 50 research articles in high impact journals like British Journal of Nutrition, PLOS One, Bioscience Reports, Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology and Journal of Ethnopharmacology. He has also acted as editorial board member and reviewed more than 150 articles of many international peer reviewed journals.
