The Conduct Review Committee is closely associated with the Ethics and Member Conduct Committee (EMCC), which advises the IEEE Board of Directors on ethics policy and makes recommendations for educational programs to promote the ethical behavior of members and staff.
Members of the CRC are chosen based on their experience and qualifications. This prestigious appointment is a recognition and honor for the EEE department of IUB, and is further evidence of the progress made by the department in recent years.
In his immediate reaction after receiving the confirmation of his inclusion in the CRC, Prof. Khan thanked the university, students, the administration, and fellow faculty members for their cooperation that made this possible.
IEEE is the largest professional organization in the world with about 400,000 members, employed in academia and in industry, including the top global high-tech companies.
In Jan 2022, the EEE department of IUB became the first in Bangladesh to receive Accreditation under Version 2 of the BAETE manual.
Recent recognition of Bangladeshis in the IEEE include the election of Prof. Saifur Rahman as the President Elect and election of Prof. Celia Shahnaz of BUET as Chair of Women in Engineering.
